By heavily investing in cricket and promoting a culture of sporting pride through jerseys, Adidas aims to bolster both its own position in the Indian market and India's prominence on the global sports stage. The unveiling of the new Team India jersey further solidifies Adidas' support for athletes in the country.
Neelendra Singh, Managing Director of Adidas India, outlined the company's game plan in an interview with Storyboard18, emphasising their pursuit of becoming the leading sportswear brand in India.

Discussing further Adidas’ plan, Singh said, “While T20 is a major milestone, but we have to look at cricket from a long-term perspective. Cricket is not only a sport but it’s an emotion, it’s a platform, you tend to reach deep into India through cricket both from viewership perspective, also through a product perspective.”
