
To celebrate the 75th Republic Day at Kartavya Path, 26 tableaux highlighting "women empowerment" will be showcased at the revered event. The Central government has dedicated the 2024 Republic Day Parade to women and will focus on 'Viksit Bharat'.
Manipur's tableau will feature women engaged in delicate work with lotus stems, highlighting their role in socio-economic activities. The process of making lotus silk innovated by India's first lotus silk maker Bijayshanti Tongbram will also be showcased from the float.
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) tableau will emphasise the contributions of its women scientists in core areas of defence research. Their tableau will feature systems like an anti-satellite missile, a third-generation anti-tank guided missile, and the light combat aircraft Tejas.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will showcase Chandrayaan-3, one of its remarkable achievements, at its landing site Shiv Shakti point on the Moon. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways will exhibit the development of India's maritime sector, emphasizing the rise in the number of women seafarers and advancements in lighthouse and cruise tourism.

Madhya Pradesh's tableau will highlight the integration of women into the state's development process through various welfare schemes. It will feature the state's first woman fighter pilot, Avani Chaturvedi, alongside depictions of women actively participating in different sectors.
Other states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh will showcase women's involvement in sectors like handicrafts, handloom, tribal communities, education, and sports. Each tableau aims to portray the empowerment and progress of women in diverse fields, contributing to the overarching theme of women empowerment on this Republic Day.
