Producer Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures presented Rajinikanth with a substantial cheque to celebrate the movie’s historic success.

The cheque handed over to Rajinikanth is reportedly Rs 100 crore, as per reports.

This is a profit sharing amount in addition to his remuneration of Rs 110 crore for the movie, making his total earnings Rs 210 crore.

“Jailer” is the third-highest-grossing South Indian film in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, behind “KGF: Chapter 2” and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.”

“Jailer” earned a massive Rs 500 crore worldwide in just 10 days after its release on August 10.

The digital streaming rights for “Jailer” have been secured by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures in collaboration with Netflix. It will also be available on the Sun NXT platform.
