PM Modi assumes office for third time, signs first file to release 17th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi

The first meeting of the third Narendra Modi cabinet will be held at 5pm at the Prime Minister's Lok Kalyan Marg residence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed the office in the South Bloc on Monday, June 10. PM Modi signed his first file authorising the release of 17th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi. This will benefit 9.3 crore farmers and distribute around ₹20,000 crore.





PM Modi said, "Ours is a government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come."

He was sworn in as prime minister for a record-equalling third term, heading a 72-member Union Council of Ministers in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government.

"This team of ministers is a great blend of youth and experience; we will leave no stone unturned in improving people's lives," Modi posted on X shortly after the swearing-in ceremony.

The first meeting of the third Narendra Modi cabinet will be held at 5pm at the Prime Minister's Lok Kalyan Marg residence.

BJP president JP Nadda also hosted a dinner for those inducted in the new Modi government's council of ministers.
