
L&T Technology Services shares gained 2% in the morning trade session on Tuesday, June 11. The upward movement was seen after the company announced a collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
The tie-up aims to foster industry and academia advancement in the domains of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (CV2X) communication, L&T Technology Services said in a stock exchange filing.
L&T Technology Services, in a release, said it plans to facilitate research and application of ADAS and CV2X technologies to increase road safety, efficiency, and the overall driving experience. The partnership also aims to explore the development of state-of-the-art features within Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, including collision avoidance, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control.
As a part of the tie-up, the company will also focus on the integration of AI-driven algorithms and sensor technologies to enhance real-time hazard recognition and response capabilities. Further, it will also undertake research and development of communication frameworks for CV2X communication.
Last month, the company announced the launch of the Simulation Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Airbus on its Bengaluru campus. L&T Technology Services, through the CoE, plans to bolster engineering support for Airbus aircraft structural simulation activities for Airbus units across the globe.
The IT services arm of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) said that the Centre of Excellence is equipped with the latest in simulation software, hardware, and high-performance computational machinery.
Meanwhile, the IT services company has fixed Friday, June 14, 2024, as the “Record Date” for determining the members eligible to receive the final dividend for FY 2023-24. The board of the company has recommended a final dividend of ₹33 per share on the face value of ₹2 per share, the dividend payout percentage is 1650%, the company communicated in an exchange filing.
Shares of L&T Technology Services Ltd were trading 1.29% at ₹4861 per share at 11:22 am.
