First session of 18th Lok Sabha from June 24 to July 3, says Kiren Rijiju
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday (June 12) said the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on June 24. The session will conclude on July 3.



In this session, newly elected MPs will take oath, election of Speaker, President's Address.

Similarly, 264th Session of Rajya Sabha will commence on June 27 and culminate on July 3.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first Budget of the Modi government 3.0 in this session. The date for the same is yet to be announced.

The swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and new Counil of 71 Ministers took place on June 9. The new ministers have taken charge of their ministries.

In the recently concluded seven-phased General Election, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance won 294 seats and Opposition's INDIA bloc won 234 seats in the 543-member Lower House of the Parliament.
