The 18th Lok Sabha elections result on Tuesday (June 4) threw off the excitement and positive sentiment, not only of supporters of the current government but also of the stock markets that were reacting a day after a massive up move led by the exit polls. (Image: PTI)

A highlight of these results has come in women winning with big margins - from Kanimozhi who won the Toothukudi seat in Tamil Nadu with a margin of over 3 lakh votes to Dimple Yadav who won from Mainpuri seat of Uttar Pradesh with a margin of over 2 lakh votes. The women power and representation in the parliament will also be more impactful this time when three out of the four youngest MPs are also women, all at age 25. (Image: Wikimedia Commons)
