She has won from the Machhlishahr constituency of Uttar Pradesh while representing the Akhilesh Kumar Yadav-led Samajwadi Party. She won against BJP's Bholanath Saroj with a margin of 35 thousand votes. She is the daughter of three-time MP Toofani Saroj. Her father contested and won from the same seat in 2009 and lost the same seat in 2014. She has assets worth ₹11 lakh. Sanjana Jatav | Wife of a constable and a mother of two, Sanjana Jatav ran and won a seat in the Parliament from Bharatpur constituency of Rajashthan, representing the Indian National Congress. This was, however, her second attempt at entering politics. The first was when she fought the assembly elections and lost in November 2023 from Alwar’s Kathumar seat by a lean margin of 409 votes to BJP’s Ramesh Khinchi. This time, she defeated former Lok Sabha MP and BJP candidate Ramswaroop Koli by 51,983 votes. She is always seen in a saree with her head covered and has a net worth of about ₹12 lakh.
