CISF constable suspended after confrontation with Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport

Bollywood actress and newly-elected Member of Parliament from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, was involved in a confrontation with CISF personnel at Chandigarh Airport today, June 6.

Ranaut reassured her fans of her safety via social media, sharing her experience on X with the caption, "Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab…."

She recounted the incident occurring during a security check, where immediately after the check, a CISF member allegedly struck her on the face and began hurling abuses.

In the accompanying video, she claimed the CISF personnel expressed support for the farmer's protest and were angered by her previous remarks.

Additionally, she expressed concern over the escalating militant activities in Punjab.

Officials stated that Constable Kulwinder Kaur, seemingly displeased with Ranaut's position on the farmers' protests, has been suspended, and an FIR has been filed against her.

Additionally, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for airport security, has initiated a court of inquiry into the matter.
