The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday, June 7, released the admit cards for the Civil Services (Prelims) Exam 2024, scheduled to take place on June 16 (Sunday).
Eligible candidates, who have registered for the preliminary exams can download their admit cards for the 2024 exam from the official website of the UPSC at upsc.gov.in. Besides this, they can also download their respective hall tickets from upsconline.nic.in.
To check the admit card, the candidates will have the option of either downloading it through registration ID or by roll number.
UPSC CSE Prelims exam 2024: Steps to Download Admit Card Step 1. Visit the official website of the UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
Step 2. Click on the link "e-Admit Card: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024".
Step 3. Select the provided link to access the login page for the UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card.
Step 4: Provide your registration ID/roll number along with your Date of Birth and the Captcha on the login page
Step 5. Click on the 'Submit' button and your roll number for the Prelims examination will appear on your screen.
Step 6. Download the same and take a printout of it to carry to the examination hall.
Based on last year's exam schedule, the Commission will likely conduct the Prelims exam in two shifts — Paper 1 scheduled from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Besides the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 exam, the Commission has also issued hall tickets for the upcoming Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam 2024.
The CSE Prelims exam is the first state of the Civil Services Examination of India and consists of two papers. The papers are typically held on the same day in two separate sessions.
Both the papers have a negative marking scheme, which means for every wrong answer, a third of the marks for that question will be deducted.
Earlier this year, the UPSC had notified a total of 1,056 vacancies for Civil Services Examination and 150 for IFoS.
