The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is set to start the JoSAA counselling 2024 registration process on Monday, June 10, 2024. The seat allocation will be conducted in five rounds this year.
Candidates who have secured the qualifying marks in the JEE Main 2024 and JEE Advanced 2024 examinations are eligible for the JoSAA counselling registration.
Candidates can choose their preferred course and colleges online on the official website of JoSAA, https://josaa.nic.in/.
JoSAA counselling aims to streamline the admission process of over 100 engineering institutes in the country, including IITs, NITs, and other government-aided engineering colleges.
Know the Eligibility Criteria of the JoSAA Counselling 2024: Candidates who secured the qualifying cut-off marks in the
JEE Main 2024 examination will be eligible to appear for the seat allocation round.
All candidates who secured the qualifying marks in the
JEE Advanced 2024 examination will also be eligible to appear for the seat allocation round.
Candidates eligible to appear for the rounds should have at least 75% marks in the Class 12 board examination. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the qualifying percentage to appear for this round is 65%.
How to register for JoSAA Counselling 2024: Step 1: Visit the official website https://josaa.nic.in/.
Step 2: Click on the option of JoSAA Counselling 2024.Registration
Step 3: A new window will appear. Enter your J
EE Main or Advanced 2024 application number and password and click the submit button.
Step 4: A new window will appear with all the details of the candidates filled in earlier. All the candidates must cross-check all the details.
Step 5: Candidates will only be allowed to update their contact details. The candidates must provide a contact number and email that is working and available for any communications.
After verifying the details and completing the needed changes click on the submit button.
Step 6: Then, the candidates will be able to check the streams and colleges available by their rank. Candidates need to choose the course and institution as per their preference.
Step 7: The candidates appearing for this round should lock their preferences. If a candidate fails to do so, the system automatically selects the earlier preference as final.
Submit the choices and download the document available after submission.
Documents needed for the JoSAA Counselling registration: Provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter 2024 issued to candidates who qualified to appear for the seat allocation round.
Two to three recent passport-size photographs.
Undertaking by the Candidate.
Photo Identity proof.
Original JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card (For admission to IITs) / JEE Main 2024 Admit Card (for admission to NITs and other Government-aided engineering colleges).
Payment receipt of Seat Acceptance Fee paid through e-challan or SBI Net banking.
Birth Certificate or any valid document with the correct Date of Birth.
Mark sheet and Pass Certificate of Class 12 or any equivalent course.
Medical fitness certificate.
Category certificate (if applicable).
PwD certificate (if applicable).
Passport (for foreign nationals).
OCI Card (overseas citizen of India) or PIO certificate (person of Indian Origin) if needed..
