There are at least 30 ministers with a cabinet rank in the new Narendra Modi administration. However, from Nirmala Sitharaman and Amit Shah to Sabananda Sonowal and Kiren Rijiju, there are at least 11 ministers in the new cabinet chosen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will continue to serve as the chiefs of the same ministries as they did before the latest election to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament.

Former Congress leader Ravneet Singh Bittu, who joined the BJP in March 2024, and lost the election from Ludhiana, has made it to Modi's council of Ministers. He will be the Junior Minister in Railways and Food Processing. Former state chief of BJP in Tamil Nadu and a Dalit leader, L Murugan, did not win the election from Nilgiris to DMK's A Raja. However, Murugan will continue as a junior minister for Information and Broadcasting, as well as join the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs as a junior to Kiren Rijiju.
