The data indicates a steady jump since the 2009 polls, where only 315 (58%) MPs had total assets worth more than ₹1 crore. Party-wise analysis shows that 227 (95%) of 240 winning candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and 92 (93%) of the Congress' 99 winning candidates have assets worth more than ₹1 crore. Here's a look at the top 10 richest MPs in the 18th Lok Sabha:
