Saad Ahmed, a Pakistani Youtuber, was shot dead on the day of India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match on Sunday.
According to media reports, Saad was killed in a mobile market in Karachi. Saad was shooting videos for his vlogs and was killed by a security guard who was being interviewed by the YouTuber as part of the build-up for the India vs Pakistan match.
The reports from Pakistan media tell that Saad completed several interviews before he came across the security guard. The guard was hesitant to talk and get his video recorded. But Saad persisted. Eventually the guard lost his cool and fired bullets at the Youtuber.
Saad was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Pakistan media outlet Geo News posted a video report on Saad's killing on its YouTube channel. According to one of Saad's friend he is now survived by his mother and his wife.
India beat Pakistan by 6 runs in Group A match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 last Sunday in New York.
